This Week's Episode........
"Making a Difference"
 March - 2006

Before we get all chatty:

Slash will now take questions regarding This Week's Episode...

Slash: Yes, Washington Post...

Post: Is it true that you all will meet the Operation Swashbuckle mission goal of entertaining at one hundred bases on this next tour?

Slash: Yes sir. We leave on Friday, March 10th and we will reach our hundredth base on this tour! Since 2001, we have performed for the troops all over the world and through the sales of our DVD, Operation Swashbuckle, we were recently pleased to present a check for over a thousand dollars to the U.S.O. to support more entertainment for our troops. Thanks to everyone who bought a copy!

Slash: Between March 10 and April 3, we will be periodically calling in from the middle-east and leaving messages on the Hack and Slash Hotline for folks to follow our travels over there. To hear the messages, call the new 24-hour Hack and Slash Hotline at (703) 229-1700! We'll update them as often as we can! Next question...

New York Times: How was the Barry Croaker and Chickens DVD shoot?

Slash: We had a blast. A good crowd showed up at the Chesapeake Arts Center, Studio Theatre and we shot some footage for an upcoming Barry Croaker DVD!

Slash: The Boneless Chicken Cabaret did a very funny show and Barry Croaker was a hoot. We were pleased to present the American Red Cross with $1000 for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. Thanks to the Red Cross for sending out a representative to receive the money and to everyone who contributed by buying DVDs and T-shirts at the Maryland Renaissance Festival this past year.

Slash: Look for Barry to show up next in the new Hack and Slash Shakespeare Massacre show this year. We are working on the show a lot while we are on the road in Iraq and Georgia. This summer we'll be getting together with Fred Garbo, who played Barkley the Dog on Sesame Street, to coach us on our comedy in the new show. Fred is a very funny clown and mime and we can't wait. Next question...

'O', the Oprah Magazine: Oprah wants to know about the new Action Hero Boot Camp she's been hearing about. What can you tell us?

Society of American Fight Directors: Certified Teacher Spencer "Slash" Humm will share tricks picked up from professionals in the stage and film industries for safe action-swordplay
Slash: Thanks for asking! For everyone who's ever wanted to be an action hero, we'll be holding the first annual, Hack and Slash Action Hero Boot Camp! The camp will be three days this summer and will be held in the Baltimore area this August. Action-Heroes-In-Training will experience:

Slash: Email us at herocamp@hackandslash.com to be contacted when dates and workshop fees are finalized in April! One last question please...

National Enquirer: Enquiring minds want to know what happened at this year's Hack and Slash Christmas Special, The Musical! Was Bat-boy running the sound board?

Slash: I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of a half-man/half-bat sound technician. I can tell you that A good time was had by all and we were able to raise thousands for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Thanks to everyone who attended. Here are a few highlights from the show. Enjoy the pictures. That's all we have time for today. Thank you.
