By the time you read this, the Christmas Special has probably completely sold out!
We'd like to thank the cast, crew and everyone attending this year's Hack and Slash Christmas Special the Musical. A portion of the proceeds from this year's show will be used to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions and enrich their experience with hope, strength, and joy. Your support will have a real, actual impact on the lives of our very special wish kids and their families by helping to fulfill their fondest wishes.
Wishes like that of Karlie, age 7 whose dream was to be a princess. Through the support of Make a Wish, Karlie became a princess for a day, complete with tiara, a beautiful gown and a ride in a white horse-drawn, rose-lined crystal coach to her very own coronation party as over 1700 supporters from Karlie's hometown cheered her on.

Karlie's mother was amazed at how the magic of a wish allowed her daughter to laugh, escape her battle with cystic fibrosis and experience something magical. It is because of that same spirit of magic and laughter that we know The Hack and Slash Christmas Special and it's crazy, fun audience are a perfect match for Make-a-Wish... Because you all know "It's a holiday everyday if you believe!"
Comedian John 'Hack' Davis of Hack and Slash hosts an evening of outrageous comedy entertainment. The evening will feature Spencer 'Slash' Humm as his grave-digging comedy alter ego, Barry Croaker, offering his usual fare of twisted observations and coffin-shaped children's books. Spencer Humm's Barry Croaker is the main character in a promising, upcoming television pilot and he rarely performs in the Baltimore area, so come catch this rising comic live while you can!
The Boneless Chicken Cabaret, recent winners of the DC Comedy Festival, Featured Act at the 2006 Miami Comedy Festival and opening act for national headlining comedian Emo Phillips, will fill out the second part of the bill with their unique brand of fully-feathered improv comedy. With three men in chicken suits performing comedy, based on suggestions from the audience, how can you go wrong? The entire show is in clucking gibberish and is unabashedly silly. This award-winning mystery-comedy-team, made up of successful DC comedians, (rumored to include Slash!) with over a decade's comedy experience under their belts, guarantees big laughs!
We presented this show in December, in Arlington and it was sold out! This show will feature new material and will be videoed for an upcoming DVD, so come on out and be a part of a fun evening that will live on long after the curtain closes!
For tickets and information, call the Chesapeake Arts Center at (410) 636-6597.
All
tickets are $14 in advance and $20 at the door.
